Welcome! I'm Yaseswini Neelamraju
Research Scientist, Bioinformatics & Computational Biology
I am an Indian-born bioinformatics scientist with a decade of experience in analyzing next-generation sequencing data, particularly from human cancer studies. Holding a PhD from the University of Virginia, I specialize in developing computational tools to unravel the complexities of genomic data to advance translational research. Driven by a passion for the intersection of data science and biology, I am dedicated to advancing personalized cancer treatments through the power of computational biology.
To learn more about my journey to the USA and how my experiences have shaped my career, check out this video I recorded with a close friend, where I share the milestones and challenges of my path in science.
I am also currently volunteering as a web page developer for Boston-area Women in Bioinformatics , contributing to the development of their online presence on a pro bono basis.
When I am not diving into the data, I enjoy hiking with my family, tending to my garden, photography, and tapping into my creative side by painting mandalas!
